Welcome to the Home of the Eastern Missouri Crappie Club
The purpose for which the club exists is to promote interest in crappie fishing and to provide a program such that members and their families can enjoy the recreational benefits of crappie fishing and the association with other people with the same interest.
Fifth Annual Jack & Jill "catch crappie for the cure" tournament will take place on Mark Twain Lake, June 15, 2013.
Sign up on Friday June 14 starting at 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at 154 Marine, Perry, Mo. BBQ and auction to follow weigh-in. All participating teams will be entered in a drawing for a Cajun Works fryer. All tournament rules will be handed out at this time. $100 entry per team. No formal meeting will be held. Questions contact John at 573-231-9820.
On August 4, 2012 Eastern Missouri Crappie Club held the fourth annual Jack & Jill “Catch Crappie for the Cure” fishing tournament at Mark Twain Lake. 65 boats entered the tournament. Following the weigh-in a BBQ and live auction were held. A Cardinal Baseball ticket raffle, silent auction and 50 -50 drawing were also held. Crappie Masters provided their weigh-in trailer and announced the anglers as they weighed in their fish. The live auction was called by Jack Bodine. 154 Marine provided the event site. Sarah and Jesse Shoemake won the event with a weight of 6.70 lbs.
The event grossed over $24,000. After expenses were paid, Eastern Missouri Crappie Club distributed $21,000. Relay for Life, Paris, Mo. $4000. Relay for Life, Troy, Mo. $4000. Monroe County Cancer Support, $13,000.
The 2013 event will be held June 15 on Mark Twain Lake with 154 Marine as the host site. BBQ and auction will follow. You need not fish the tournament to participate in the BBQ and auction.
